Yoru no me,part VI

They now had a new destination. The train had finally arrived.

''You know that i am wanted now dont you?'' he spoke straight while looking into her eyes.
''I wont leave things like this i dont want you involved in the least..Could you give me your orphanage suit and change into something else? Trust me and do it please.'' She remained silent and returned quickly. She handed him the clothes and went back inside.

He took off his shirt and tore it apart, his shoes too. He noticed a pigeon sitting at the edge of a bench a bit further from their spot.He approached it.
     The death was instant.
He grabbed its head and broke it like it was a paper doll. The blood slowly started flowing on the clothes.  That would do the job.
He then ripped some of his hair and mixed it with the blood on his shirt.
He returned to the platform and approached the guard.
''You are aware of the orphanage near this area dont you?''
He spoke to the scared guard who looked obviously frightened at him and answered possitively in a trembling voice.
''Alright i have work for you,and dont worry you will be paid more than enough for it.
Take these clothes to the orphanage and tell them you found two childrens bodies in the drench past the bridge and the clothes were the only thing left intact.''
 The train started whistling.
He stuffed a bunch of money in the guards hand and boarded.
While moving from the platform he shouted at him.''If you fulfill my request as I wish, there will be more from where these came from next time.'' The guard noded and saluted the boy.
Noroi caught Sakura staring at him from her seat.
''Dont worry. There will definitely not be a next time we come back here.'' he said reassuringly. '' And there will be noone searching for us anymore..''
He sat next to her.She looked different away from that place. The light made her eyes and hair sparkle as the sun rose in the sky. He whispered at her.''Thank you..'' She fell asleep shortly afterwards.

He felt a bit funny with a piece of his hair missing on the back of his head. He still stood out too much even if everyone started to think they were dead he had to change so that he would research and look for Rara with more ease. After he made sure Sakura could start a new life he would change from head to toes even if she wasnt happy about it,he felt he had to. He looked at her peaceful face and felt a small flame of hope lighting inside him where he thought only an empty heart existed.
He thought he might have started resembling humans a bit more..

Yoru no me,part V

That name..Where had he heard it before? He wasnt able to match it with a face in his mind but he was sure it was someone important. He also knew that person was the key that could unlock his past..Her location though might be a problem..He was a murderer now he couldnt walk around city services asking for names and he wouldnt want Sakura involved either..He would figure out what to do once they had both settled down..He sighed and looked at Sakura..
She had been starring at her envelope for a while now while holding it in her hand..
-''Why dont you open it too?'' he asked.
-''Well i dont think there will be any big news in here anyways..'' she faked a smile and tried to put the file aside.
Noroi grabbed it out of her hand and opened it.

-''So..You still believe there was no big news in here, huh?'' he said ironically.
She was standing at the edge of the platform moving towards the gap. She looked as if she had been shot dead. She laughed to herself and thought, why would someone do that to their own relative..She had never met her before so how was she so absolute in turning her custody away before even getting to know her? They had the same last name so it must be a person from her mothers side that was certain..

-''Do you think that person thought i might be like ..her..? Is that why she would hate me so much to not even consider to take me in? Maybe i really am like her..'' she whispered, getting closer to the edge by each step..
Suddenly she felt someone grab her and pull her back..Her one foot was already hanging above the gap..
-''I will take care of it,i promise. Just stop thinking any of it might be your fault.'' Noroi held her tightly as he said those words.Tears started flowing from Sakuras eyes as they both watched the sun rising up the clowdy sky.
He would take care of everything,he thought to himself. That was the only thing he could do for her at least. Get her to a new safe home and make her live a normal life as possible.Try to mend the wounds of her past if he couldnt fix the least bit of his. He was only able to do that much for the one person who was never afraid to approach him and accept his sinful excistence..
She had become important like noone else ever had.        (to be continued..)

Yoru no me,part IV

The moonlight was the only thing that lit the room. Noroi entered and Sakura followed with hesitation. He was certain the noise wasnt loud enough to upset the deep sleep of the nuns, but he kept being alerted just in case. He went past each archive and found his file in the special cases section. Sakura was taken over by curiousity and reached for her file too.
  Suddenly she froze.
Noroi turned around to find her in the arms of the Head nun.He didnt even blink before she fell on her knees instantly releasing Sakura and started choking.
-'' You know..I could kill you on the instant i felt your presence..But this may turn out to be convenient for me.'',he whispered softly while smirking.
-''You demon..cease this at once..'' she began to sweat while holding her neck in an attemp to breathe..
-''Oh but it's so much fun..Like the fun i had when i first came in..The marks may have gone but i can still feell the heat on my body..I'll make you feel it too or maybe you'll be a good girl and take me to where all my money is''
Sakura stood at the corner holding back her tears..She knew this was coming but how was she supposed to feel?
-''Huh..my breath is back to normal..'' the nun slowly stood up with a scared and angry expression all over her face. She started walking down the alley towards the stairs that led to the old attic. She unlocked the door and passed through. The two of them followed her. She walked to a giant cupboard and opened it. Noroi could see the shelves filled with stacks of money. Was that actually all his..? He laughed to himself and thought that before they reached the nuns hands there was even more.
-''Do you have our papers Sakura?'' he asked but didnt turn his head an inch.
-''Yes it is all here..''she answered with an unsteady voice.
-''Good..Put the money in any bag you find inside this dump..'' he told her while keeping his eyes on the frozen nun.
 She grinned her teeth together..
-''You are not going to get away with this you brats!'' she yelled at him.
-''I would not be so sure if i was in your position..You are of no more use to me now you see..How about we end your miserable life here,so noone else will suffer like i did.And with one person less there will be more oxygen for everyone dont you think..?''
She didnt have any time to answer. Her body started shaking, she hit the ground. She made pointless efforts to regain her breath. Slowly, blood began to come out her nostrills while at the same time she turned blue..
       And then nothing..
Sakura quickly stepped backwards and the bag with the money fell out of her hands. She left out a soundless scream with tears running from her eyes endlessly..
-''Dont be afraid..'',he came close to her and held her for the first time since they had met. ''You are the only person i would never hurt.If anyone ever does i swear i will kill them too..Everything that happens tonight,we take to our graves.''
She started exhalling while she calmed down..He could feel her heartbeat next to his. He grabbed the bag, took her hand and run towards their dormitory. She had never seen him run like this before. It was as if he was chained throughout all of these years and now he had finally been released..
-''Gather up your stuff we are getting out of here.'' he said.He was smiling.. She could see it was an honest smile,a childish one,a smile of happiness and relief. She put the envelopes in her luggage and followed Noroi outside..
She told him she knew the location of the nearest train station..It took them an hour to reach it on foot but they didnt mind long distances. They reached a deserted platfrom in the end..The station master informed them the train would come first thing in the morning. They sat next to each other on the edge of the platform..
-''Can you give me the envelope now?''
Sakura took both out..Noroi opened his without a minute of delay..

Yoru no me,part III

Sakura had realised from their fist impact that he was no normal child and she did not care to learn anything about it as long as she could stand by him.
They were both outcasts of society and the orphanage both. Being the daughter of a drug user single mother who died of an overdose, with her fathers identity uknown because of her mother profession, she was never given the chance to live an inch of a normal childhood. Her first home was a Christian Orphanage in a ghetto in the suburbs, for she was told there were no other living relatives to take care of her. She had never known anyone except her no-good of a mother ever so she didnt even hope for a happy home from now on,it would be pointless to deceive herself she thought.
After 2 years the orphanage was at the edge of bankruptcy due to the death of their solely donator. Most children were transfered before they passed away from the famine that took over the place. Others were already teenagers and thought of as being adults so they were left to go out to society. Maybe they would make it,maybe not..The nuns would always murmur ''God is great my children,he will never leave you alone.'' They could say that much because they already had a home waiting for them.
And so she came to be in the same orphanage as Noroi. She wondered if such a thing as coincidence exists in life..She never really thought that way.Carefreely that is..Growing up on the streets had taught her whom to trust and whom not to. Whose face hid emotions,sorrow,lies,greed,fear..Eyes are said to be a window to ones soul. His eyes were honest ones, she knew he would not betray her. She only had to be patient enough to get him to bring his shield a bit down for her to reach him. And slowly there she was, entering his fortress,it was an achievement she would be proud of for the rest of her life.
Noroi started treating her differently when they were alone. He was her hero, her reason to hold on. He had no past to speak off but lived everyday with the only purpose of leaving and putting the puzzle of his life back together. Without the pieces he said he had no true identiny.
At night he would sneak out of the dorm into the Head nun office to try and find out anything possibly helpful.. He had a partner now as well. Sakura kept watch while he tried to open the door, but was always interrupted by the watchguards going by. He knew there was something there they werent supposed to find out about. He never believed the guards were there for their safety as to what the nuns would say when he asked why there were extra expenses that cut down the food and study supplies budget. If it was as they said why did they only keep guard at the wing where every childs file was kept? Noone would be fooled by that. Especially when his money was spent on it. Because until he was an adult the nuns claimed he had no right to use the money he was left with. Instead they would spend it themselves for mostly useless selfish reasons such as christian books, extra bibles, wooden custom made crosses and other unedible stuff.
He didnt especially care about the other orphans or about living more luxuriously but that was his money and he had no common intelectual quality to be manipulated by some overweight ugly bats. He kept his patience and waited for his chance for as long as it would take.. Three years had almost passed and the old watch guard got transferred due to heavy heart disease that dissalowed lack of rest and him overworking. The new guard that came in was in his late twenties and seemed to hate his job. He would sometimes slack off at his post only sitting in font of the office door and falling half asleep.
With Sakura coming aboard and the guard change, the plan was made much easier for him.
During of the nights of their mission he had noticed the  new watch guard frequently visiting a young nun's room at the end of the file wing where they slept. At one of the nights they tracked his moves,he went into the room and didnt look like he would be coming out any soon. They figured so after Sakura eavesdropped and they sure sounded they would be busy for quite some time..It was his opportunity.
He took a match and a piece of coal out of his pocket. He lit the match.. He asked Sakura to step back and cover her ears. He placed the coal inside the keyhole of the office and stuck the unlit end of the match next to it.. She saw him widely open his eyes while the air of the room started to change. She couldnt breathe as well as a while ago.. A pale blue liquid bubble began to form near the keyhole. She could see it clearly float in front of Noroi..And then she witnessed the keyhole explode when the bubble finally reached and soaked the coal.       She kept still in shock.
The door was now open.                              (to be continued...)

Yoru no me,part II

At the deepest corner of the playroom sat a little young boy. From afar people would have guessed he was a fairy or a magical being because of his extraordinary beauty and the sad but mellow aura that surrounded him.Any other kid would not approach near his place and the nuns in charge never understood why,but didnt especially pay attention to that event or to the boy either.Every day he would sit there silently, motionless and alone.
But one day a little girl walked up slowly towards him..He had already sensed her coming for a while now while he was gazing at the ceiling.
-''Please stay away'',he said calmely.
The girl hesitated but kept walking forward slowly but stadily..
-''I think i told you to stay away..'' His instant look made her tremble and stopped her breath.
She felt like suffocating, but fought against it..Her pace started to reach him at last, she wouldnt give up now.His charm had drawn her close to him and she wanted to do anything possible to at least look at his face up close..
-''Please could you stop what you're doing to me..It hurts..And i will not stay away! You cant order me to..Even if i have to suffer like this i wont!''
-''Who exactly do you think you are,you little fly?'' The pain stopped..He suddenly turned around grabbed her and drew her next to him..The trembling was still there but she didnt mind it..
-''I just transfered from the Suburbian Christian Orphanage,my name is Sakura!I was hoping we could be friends..''
-''Friends..?Friends,you say..Dont make me laugh.nothing good will come to you from being friends with me,i can assure you that.Cant you see everyone keeps a distance from me?Why dont you go ahead and do the same, huh?''
-''Maybe because i am not everyone..'' Her watery childish eyes and her crooked smile soothed him a bit after all these long tormenting years he had spent there.
''...You dont have to be alone anymore..'' she whispered..Her words traveled inside the gray dull walls and slipped to his ears..He smirked..

It was his 10th birthday.                             (to be continued..)

Eyes of the night-Yoru no me

''Eternity is so lonely..but if i spend it with you..''

It was graduation day for the students of  a downtown High school. You could feel the rays of the spring sun running through the curtains of the classroom. You could also hear an annoying snore coming from an almost empty class. A sudden thump woke Noroi up.He looked around irritated to find his childhood friend and schoolmate Sakura standing above his head.
-''Jeez Noroi kun! Class is over already! I know you dont care but show at least some interest it's our last day in school ever!''
He looked at her yawning with an angry look on his face.
-''Oh,why don't you shut up nobody asked you to care anyway! I never get enough sleep at night and i dont give a fuck about my future as long as i have graduated i dont have any big plans like all of you kiddies and you're well aware of that..Even if i did it would be pointless to dream in such a ghastly world''
 She looked down embarrassed..
-''We spent most of our lives together i should know that much dont worry, but i cannot not care..I am off now so please gather up any stuff you may have left and go get your gown. You can at least try to look a bit happy about graduation and put that philosophy aside for a while..''

She walked out of the classroom in a quick pace her long black hair waving, reflecting the beautiful sun upon them. That sure was a worthless effort,he thought. He got up and threw all his books in his schoolbag, got down the stairs and left the building.Behind him screams of enthusiasm echoed throughout the school grounds.Walking towards the bus station he thought about his 18 years of life.

He grew up to be a tall well built guy.He showed an indifferent attitude towards school life or adolescence whatsoever,he was way cut off from that long ago.He would never have a normal life he knew that from the beginning, for he had a private hobby nobody would ever find out.So it was best to keep everyone away. For their own good perhaps..Noone should know, nobody should get involved..Everyone would see who he really was..A monster.Better off disguised.
People act through everyday life, why would he be so different, his life was a well put together act,not a soul could see through it,or so he thought..
He had dyed his hair black from the icy blonde he was born with so that he wouldnt be able to stand out in the crowd and hid his crimsonlike eyes behind glasses,he had average grades and apart from sleeping in class never caused any trouble.Well behaved in general, except to Sakura who knew a part of his dark true self but only a part that scratched the surface of reality.
He got off the bus and headed to his apartment. He didnt know why but the parents he never met left him with a respectable amount of money enough for a more than decent lifestyle, but he was no regular teenager so he didnt hastely spend much of it,only covered basic needs and life expences.
He threw himself on his bed and fell asleep once more.He dreamed the same dream he saw as long as he remember himself.
Dark figures, running,he was been chased,a familiar voice yelled from behind,he never recognised the voice though,he felt like a huge gap blocked his mind, split images of a cold night,a room filled with his favourite smell, delicious smell. He jumped up drenched in his sweat as usual..He was certain his dreams were real, memories, his own maybe? He never knew.
There was a warmth in those nightmares he had never felt since a child that far he knew. His memories started when he had been in front of a huge door of the topic orphanage.
All past it was black and empty.                       (to be continued..)
